Bernâtre Castle

Bernâtre Castle, locally known as Château de Bernâtre, lies in the village with the same name, in the Somme department in France.

Bernâtre Castle was owned by the Rayneval family until 1320. Then it passed to the Boubers family until the Revolution.

The gate building dates back to the 14th century. The round tower is from the 15th century. The castle was destroyed by the Spanish in 1635.

This is all the historical information I was able to find about Bernâtre Castle. If you know more, please mail me.

At present the castle consists of a round tower, a gate building and adjoining walls. The castle is private property and can not be visited.
