I visited this tower in 2005.

Omal Tower stands in the village with the same name, south of the town of Waremme, in the province of Liège in the Wallonia region in Belgium.

This building may not be a 'real' castle, but it's a nice and unknown ruin, that's the advantage of being your own webmaster.

It is more a fortified tower house, built in 1625 by the Mollin-Menjoye family. It was meant as a refuge for the local village population during times of passing foreign troops. During peace time it was used as a dovecote.

I don't know if it was ever attacked, because I wasn't able to find any more info. If you got some, please mail me.

Its interior can not be visited.
