Quoile Castle lies north of the town of Downpatrick, in County Down, in Northern Ireland.

Quoile Castle was probably built at the end of the 16th century, on the banks of the river Quoile, by a local notable; Captain West.

It is a square, 3 storeys high, tower house built out of split stone rubble with sandstone dressings. The West family inhabited the castle into the 18th century. In 1836 it was serving as a cowhouse.

The south east corner of the castle has collapsed. I could not find out when this happened; before or after it served as a cowhouse. Nor was I able to find any other historical info, so if you know more, please mail me. At present it stands in the grounds of the Quoile Countryside Centre. The interior of Quoile Castle can not be visited.
