I visited this castle in 1998.

Dunnottar Castle lies nearby the town of Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire in Scotland.

The castle is one of the more noteworthy ruins in the British Isles. Its beautiful situation on a stupendous isolated rock and the historic events with which it is connected (such as the defence of the Regalia in 1651/1652 and the persecution of the Covenanters in 1685) make it a very interesting castle.

It has fallen into decay since 1718 and is now a beautiful ruin. The castle has a long and interesting history. If you are interested take a look around the internet, there is plenty info around.
