Khatt Towers

The Khatt towers are standing in a small and quiet town with the same name, in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.

The 3 towers probably date back to the 19th century. They probably served to protect the oasis and the local therapeutic hot springs, together with Khatt Fort. I don't have any historical information about these towers. If you know more; please mail me.

The towers all have a circular ground plan. The east tower stands on the grounds of a castle-like hotel. The north tower can freely be visited but is in ruins. The west tower, although also in ruins, looks the most interesting but can also not be visited as it stands on the grounds of a boys school.

Simple towers, not very spectacular and also not on great locations.
