Ormotsa Tower

Ormotsa Tower stands near the village of Nijgori, in the Aspindza municipality in the Samtskhe–Javakheti region in Georgia.

I have no clue about the age of this very ruined tower. Due to the type of stonework I would say it could be medieval. The tower has a D-shaped ground plan. I guess it was a watch tower although on Georgian maps it is called a castle. There are traces of other buildings connected to its south side.

At present Ormotsa Tower can freely be visited. A simple tower ruin.
