Eulenburg Castle

Eulenburg Castle, locally known as Kasteel Eulenburg or David, lies south of the village of Moresnet, in the Liège province in the Wallonia region in Belgium.

Eulenburg Castle may look medieval, but it isn't. It was built between 1878 and 1901 by Victor David, whose father was a wealthy landowner in the area. He had it constructed as an L-shaped complex with an eclectic style, mainly featuring neo-Gothic elements, and used it as a family residence.

Shortly after the 'castle' was finished, Victor visited the German city of Aachen. There, he purchased 18th-century wood paneling that had been removed from Aachen’s city hall during a restoration to be burned. He then installed the paneling in Eulenburg Castle.

Eulenburg Castle is a private residence and therefore not open to the public. A curious 'castle'.
