Habhab Fort

Habhab Fort, sometimes also spelled as Habsab, lies near the village of the same name, in the emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. It is situated directly south of the town of Khatt, which belongs to the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

I could not find any information about Habhab Fort. I only learned of its existence when I walked past it on my way to the Habhab Towers. I think it was built in the late 19th, early 20th century to protect the village oasis, together with the Habhab Towers on the hills next to it.

Habhab Fort can freely be visited, although at the moment it is being rebuilt. I don't know if it will be visitable afterwards or what its use will be.
