Waqif Tower

Waqif Tower lies in a backstreet of the famous Waqif Souq in the center of the city of Doha in Qatar.

Waqif Tower may look like an old structure but it isn't. It was built in 2005/2006 when the entire Waqif Souq area was rebuilt. It more or less resembles the architecture of the Barzan Towers.

The interior of Waqif Tower can not be visited and I don't know what its use is. The surrounding streets are freely accessible. It is a nice reconstruction to view when you visit the souq, which is in itself also a partial reconstruction but still atmospheric.
