Dahan Tower

Dahan Tower stands in the Dahan suburb of the city of Ras Al Khaimah, in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.

I guess Dahan Tower was built in the early 20th century to guard the settlement of Dahan from pirates and oversee the pearl divers. The square tower is situated only some 50 meters from the sea. I don't have any historical information about the tower. If you know anything, please mail me.

Dahan Tower can not be visited. It is situated in a walled off area which seems to be used as a garbage dump. Such a sad situation for such a nice tower.
