Vejini Tower

Vejini Tower stands in the hills above the village of the same name, in the Gurjaani municipality in the Kakheti region in Georgia.

I guess Vejini Tower dates back to the 17th/18th century. It is situated on the southern slope of a small valley. On the opposite slope is the Amagleba Monastery, so I think it served as a lookout post for the monastery. It has a circular ground plan and had 4 floors. Apparently it was restored in recent years.

At present Vejini Tower can freely be visited. A nice tower ruin.
